The Cort GB-Modern 5 is an impressive five-string bass, both in terms of visuals and sound. The backbone of the build is the lightweight maple body which features paulownia wings, a deluxe poplar burl top and a white ash back. To boost the stability a bit more, Cort has opted for a Babicz full-contact bridge and a set of Hipshot Ultralite 20:1 tuners. This extra-long-scale model even comes complete with a matching deluxe gig bag.

The Cort GB-Modern 5: Nordstrand Pickups and a MarkBass Preamp

In addition to two volume controls and a 3-band EQ, the MarkBass MB Instrument Pre preamp features a push/pull tone pot for toggling between active and passive mode, giving you ample options when it comes to tweaking the sound of the mounted Nordstrand Big Single pickups: single-coils-in-a-soapbar-housing that are known for their big punch. Smaller perks like the Luminlay side dots and roasted maple neck and fretboard finish the more-than-modern build of the GB-Modern 5.
